Great agencies need great people, committed to making the best match between client and candidate.
Nicki comes from a background in HR Management. She set up the agency in 2000 after realising that recruitment was the area of HR that she most enjoyed, combining her interest in helping people achieve their full potential with strengths in relationship-building, assessment, sourcing and negotiation. In her spare time, she can often be found spending her time with her four Pygmy Goats which are a great stress-buster!
Nicki first met Alice when she heard her amazing singing voice and piano playing at a local event in Berkshire. They started chatting about the fact that Alice had recently moved to the area and was looking for a new job. Since joining Calibre Candidates, Alice finds that each day goes so quickly and often receives positive feedback about her telephone manner and customer care skills.
Laura has worked for Calibre for four years from a background in hospitality and loves the satisfaction of helping candidates to find the right job. She loves recruiting as she is constantly learning new skills. Laura is a great organiser and thrives by her ‘to do’ lists. In her spare time, she directs and stage-manages local theatre productions. From a farming family, Laura has 26 chickens, 3 rabbits and a dog.
Naomi came from a very different background. She studied Archaeology at University and went on digs in Brazil and Qatar. Naomi started her career as a teacher, but feels that recruitment is a much better fit for her, as she loves the variety in the role as time flies so quickly. Naomi loves reading historical fiction, has a couple of cats called Merry and Pippin (Lord of the Rings) and has impressively hiked across Hadrian’s Wall.

• Our registered candidates find out about a potentially suitable vacancy before anyone else does
• Our consultancy team will get to know you and really promote your strengths to our clients
• We always return telephone calls
• Before any interview, we will ensure you are given client information and lots of useful interview tips to help you prepare
• We will always pass on client feedback as we receive it
Two simple principles: Commitment and Communication
It can be really frustrating if we work hard to get a candidate an interview and then the candidate doesn’t return a call or even worse, doesn’t show up to an interview. On the rare occasion this happens, we feel as if we have let our clients down – fortunately, we have many of the same Clients we had from 20 years ago, when we originally set up the agency (and many more!), and our Clients appreciate we have done everything we can, bar giving them a lift ourselves! However, if we do not receive advance communication for a cancelled interview, please understand the impression this creates. Similarly, if we leave you a message, please return our calls, even if you find a new role or have decided against a vacancy – we will not be irritated, we would just like to be able to keep our Clients updated and really appreciate the call.
Our Consultants and Clients love candidates who:
• communicate regularly
• research the Company on their website and latest news on Google as part of interview preparation
• note how your skills and experience match the criteria listed in the job spec/outline
• dress professionally and interview positively
Have you thought about sending a follow up email after your interview, expressing your keen interest in the role? We would be pleased to forward this on – it often makes the difference between the final two candidates.
