Our dynamic and innovative client in the Newbury area, is seeking an experienced Financial Operations Analyst to join their growing team. Reporting to the Finance Director, this is an excellent opportunity in a newly created role to head up the Financial Operations of the business with the potential for continued future career growth.

‍Responsibilities‍

• Examining the financial operations of the business
• Analysing economic cost data and identifying wasteful processes.
• Liaising with management team to make recommendations on how to increase profit margins and improve efficiency.
• Collecting operational data and determining cost of operations
• Analysing results with plans/ forecasts and using to identify and improve the financial status of the business.
• Guiding the cost analysis process by setting up, explaining, and enforcing policies and procedures.
• Supporting the preparation of management accounts and month-end duties.

Requirements‍

• Solid Accounting/bookkeeping experience
• Cost/Project Accounting skills
• Strong analytical ability 
• Solid understanding of financial systems and processes
• Knowledge of the following areas:

- Accrual Journals

- Prepayment Journals

- Depreciation Journals
