Newly-created client-side role suited to creatively-minded Search Marketing Manager in a sizeable marketing team of a well-established commercial company in Reading. The role will focus on performance marketing channels and optimising investment to drive marketing ROI. Our client is open to an on-site or hybrid working patterns with office-based 3 days per week. Key Responsibilities include:

  • Managing all Paid (PPC), Organic (SEO) and search marketing (SEM)
  • Recommending and managing additional performance marketing channels, including content channels, programmatic display and social media advertising
  • Implementing PPC, SEO and site traffic management tools to steer strategy and improve success
  • Oversee budgets for AdWords, YouTube, Bing and other search marketing channels
  • Conversion rate optimisation
  • Balancing keyword performance across SEO and PPC strengths/weaknesses
  • Liaising with the Business Intelligence Manager to deliver an effective reporting suite, including Google Analytics and Keyword/Ad group performance
  • Creating technical, content and offsite updates to build organic traffic and underlying factors
  • Monitoring KPIs and proactively suggest actions to develop leads and conversion rate
  • Collaborating with the Development team to improve content production and management capability, using CMS updates to mobilise content production
  • Working closely with Marketing team to suggest content topics, both on-site and off-site, and advising techniques to maximise trust and authority, i.e. positive TrustPilot reviews
  • Creating business targets and reporting framework to demonstrate ROI
  • Competitor analysis to identify strengths/weaknesses

Requirements:

  • Relevant marketing experience, including SEO and PPC management
  • Advanced knowledge of SEM and Google Adwords/Analytics
  • Any experience of direct marketing and programmatic display would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of UX testing or conversion rate analytics
  • Highly analytical and technically minded
  • Proactive and confident team player, able to demonstrate enthusiasm to share new ideas
